Sub-standard Birthday Gifts

Each year I always accept no less than one, sub-standard gift on my birthday. Normally they consist of beauty products such as face creams or facemasks, or other smellies such as bubble bath or bath bombs. Or, failing that, 9 times out of 10 it’ll be gift vouchers. Yawn!

I can’t in truth, get excited by these types of gifts. They're a 'get out of jail free' pass. You know what I’m getting at…they’re the kind of presents you can buy someone when you have no clue what to buy. It's straightforward. It’s quick. No real thought ever goes into it.

When I see anther container of face cream or a selection box of various perfumed bath creams or salts my stomach drops..

However, there has been one, and one only exception. In 2009 I was given one of those Sancutary Spa products. It was the body butter which is an intensive skin booster that’s jammed with loads of yummy cocoa butter and velvety shea butter. I’d never used body butter prior to this, but was really amazed by this one. My skin was left feeling nourished and super soft for days! It includes sweet almond oil and macadamia oil and a protective vitamin E which that aids the skins protection. The Sanctuary Spa also has great mum to be presents that use similar ingredients, such as the collagen boosting body butter.

I’m hoping I get a better choice of presents this year, like CDs, DVDs, or makeup and clothes. However, if by any chance I do receive a big tub of the Sanctuary Spa body butter, I won’t be disappointed. Maybe I’ll go and buy some myself for a few of my girl friends this Christmas and share the pleasure of this fantastic body cream.

I thought it was lovely, so I’m certain they till too – and they will have gorgeous skin as well!!
